  1. Hello Carl. Can't be sure exactly what time we would head down to Peterborough. I would imagine it would be late morning/lunchtime but I'll always keep you up to date as it happens. I suppose it all comes down to rounding up the troops in the morning after Friday nights session :)

  13. Okay. I've just been on the phone to the Willow Festival organisers regards to times for the convoy arriving at the festival. Gates open at 11 AM on Saturday morning we can arrive in convoy at any time during the day and stewards will see this on to the site. Then enjoy the free music through the day and we can either leave to convoyed home to campsite all at the same time or if that is not possible I have arranged that we can have scheduled hourly convoy leaving times as we are not allowed to drive on site with out a event organisers present and stewards.
The Willow Festival organisers have asked me to thank you for your support in the way of attending their show and being happy enough to let them and the Public see your buses. They have said it will make for an excellent show.
I'm sure that may be some of you has been PM in each other regards to arranging your group camp fire meals. But if you haven't then that is a sure fire way of creating a nice group atmosphere on the evenings at base camp.
Fire pits are allowed that are off the ground. I have had a request from my sister who's land we are using that she would like us to prevent the ashes falling on the grass. Four instance with a tray or some form of heat protection. A old disposable barbecue tray works especially well for this purpose.
If you have children and access to a separate tent this may be a good idea for a little adventure for the younger ones. Just so you are aware the camping area is fully fenced off and secure and very safe for children to run around and be left on their own. There is a fenced off little apple orchard which can have small tents erected in a quieter area.
This next week I will be creating some TLB signs to direct you within the last mile of the camp site. I have hopefully given everybody address and postcode but if you are convoying in then I would hope that the lead bus would be using a satnav. The postcode will bring you all the way to the road and camp site. Just remember to check the street name when entering the postcode in if you are bringing trailers there is a enough room but be aware once through the gate there is less room to manoeuvre so hand positioning of trailers will be essential. plenty of room for awnings and tents will be available. And all the best plots will be taken on a first come first serve basis. We have also additional camping through gated paddock area. So don't worry that you will not have a pitch.
I for one can't wait and I hope you are all looking forward to what I believe to be a exceptional weekend of camping food and great music.

nice one matey. what i've always done where scorched earth is to be avoided is to bring a spade and dig out 2ft square and about 4" deep and place the fire pit there. the sod can be replaced once done and it'll be like new!
i'll be parking in peterborough somewhere and meeting you guys at the festival. really looking forward to it, mel not so much though. she's not so chuffed about being so heavily pregnant and camping in the back of a van ha ha ;)
