1. How can I get these 'nuts' (not sure what these things are called) out without damaging the or the wood board 2. Best thing to get left over glue off the the boards left by the old vinyl
What I've done before to remove these "pronged tee nuts" is to screw a bolt in and tap gently from side to side working your way round and then, depending on which side you're on, either tap in or pull out. To remove the glue, which I suspect would be of the contact variety, use a sharp scraper as it will just clog sandpaper, you could try acetone to dissolve it but you would probably pass out from fumes before you got anywhere A
"T nuts" may also refer to the following:- https://www.boneham.co.uk/clamping-and-fixing/threaded-parts/t-nuts/t-nuts-tn-- Ordering a couple of dozen of the wrong type resulted in an expensive error A
Thanks, I've tried a couple of the T nuts & they come out quite easily, I'm just wary because I have a habit of breaking things As for the acetone approach, sounds interesting
