Time for a new thread i think... Earl the shed of a bay status update...

  1. Right finally getting the shed back togther and my new 1641cc engine with a full flow oil system, should turn up in a few days. Brought it for TES engines.... will post picks when it gets here and show you all the old lump aswell... anyways thought id post a few pics of the van either today or tomorrow but got a few of my engine extras =p

    The old Lump out of earl, Both cylinder heads split... wrong valve heights helicoiled plugs etc etc..

    Brand new from TES Engines =] 1641cc..... full flow oil system. etc... its Sat on my freezer... an its killing me as my tinware is with my painter so hopfully get them this week and start building it up..

  9. Cheers man lucky i got a donor floor with it tbh the original was damn rotten but now its all new steel, i really need some new pics to show you how much ive done... its pritty extensive =]

    Jesus Christ man where is your bus. You're only supposed to cut the rust out! Where did MH get it from before you, the Everglades?!?

    Hats off to you mate that goes further than any resto i've ever seen! Don't you have to be careful that the roof doesn't buckle though?

  14. Nah being a tin top its got braces for roof support plus didnt cut the rear pillars out only the front and we welded supports in anyways to make sure it was solid. Yer i know the rusts pritty bad for a 72 but its solid now. i will try and get some more photos up..

    So basically so far my bus had had new centre flooring (ALL OF IT lol) New genuine front arches (recomend getting them for vw heritage rather than justkampers as i had two pairs that were rubbish as i would have had to cut them to make them fit but the heritage ones went straight it)...( im not cutting 170 quids worth of arch lol) new sill kit new out riggers. Jacking points, new battery trays. new front cab flooring....and all this is a yer tomorrow =] nt bad really since i work full time....

  18. Hooray you're back!!! I was wondering how old Earl was doing just the other day and you've done some amazing work on him :mwave:

    Hope you can get to Volksworld as we'll be there and it would be lovely to see the new and improved Earl 8)
