Tigger comes together!!

  1. Just finished (well almost!) interior refurbishment of Tigger, our 1974 Devon Late Bay. We tried to keep the original Devon furniture, but have reveneered all the cabinets, wardrobe, overhead cupboard etc. Built a new sort--of matching cupboard to house our fridge from tent-camping days, and included in top cupboards for glasses and mugs. New Charcoal and Ice lino tiles supplied by Mad Matz. New cards in living area all round in mushroom supplied by Delilah's. 2 new foams and 2 existing foams recovered in Westfalia Brown plaid (by wife Linda) . Living area finished off by new orange/black/brown curtains also made by Linda
Front driver's and passenger's seats supplied by Newton Commercials last year, together with contrasting door cards complete the interior, First outing on Ipswich-Felixstowe run on 1st. May. First outing for recon engine from Elite at Basildon sounds very sweet. With wildly differing views from Mech Tech forum we decided to go for Elite on price and location (60 miles away) Glad we did - the 2 Micks certainly know their bug engines and so far I think they've done us well for the price (£675 fully built and tested).
So we're ready for a few outings this summer - Dubs at the Hall, Alive & Dubbin' and BugShow in Belgium.

  2. Very nice

  3. I love this. I have the same model Devon interior but mine was in such a bad state I need to replace it all. I'm aiming to reproduce it in oak-veneered ply. I love what you've done with yours and it's great to see an original period interior being preserved.

  4. Thanks Guys.
If you need any dimensions, close-up photos or whatever - always happy to oblige. We have had SO MUCH help from TLB members in doing Tigger
