The last time I used my bus was in September on the way back from the last Techenders. I put it away wet and cold and have ignored it until today...
Just went out and after turning the engine over fo what felt like an eternity, it fired into life!
Better check when my MOTs due now but it all seems good.

i can't wait to hear mine again last driven 24 dec 2011.

  3. Tried mine a couple of weeks ago and found the battery is flat. Also found that the breaks have seized. Took a few moments to work out what i needed to do, thought rubber duck it and left her. Going to go out and jump her this weekend and sort the breaks out. I really need to get started doing things as i have a list as long as my arm but have found motivation hard to come by.

Must say i do feel really guilty for neglecting her :(

  4. i now have a solar trickle charger on the Main Battery to keep it topped up over winter. unless you have a mega battery or use it often it will die - especially in this cold weather.

With the brakes - Just put it in 1st/reverse gear and rock it back and forward on the clutch and it will un seize ...

I know it's probably not that good for mine sitting outside the house in this weather, but I've taken it out regularly through the winter when the roads have been dry.
I just keep putting a recharged dehumidifier in every time the crystals change colour.

Yesterday it started first time. :)

  9. Took my little boy to his swimming lesson in the bus today (parked short of the pool though). Running like a dream, though the clutch cable could do with a little tighten.

Now the snow's gone I'll try to get her out once a week.

  10. Went into Bradford in ours a couple of weekends ago. Freezing
