This months Camper Bus - Not sure I like the 'new' style

If you've picked up his months edition what do you think of the 'new' layout and many typefaces and fonts?

It would help if they used a spellchecker prior to going to print. The written English and spelling is appalling across all of these mags. The cover price is incredibly high considering most of the 'staff writers' or type facers are clearly illiterate. There is no excuse for this in modern media, and they can hardly blame production deadlines?

stop buying these mags years ago,I use to read my VW mags from cover to cover and then again, last time I bought one, I was done in five minutes, and for £4, they are too busy kissing each others arses (a lot of 'friend's' buses featured) then to bother putting out a decent magazine, and the spelling and grammer is a joke, Volksworld/Camper and Bus etc, not worth the paper they are printed on.

Don't get the wrong end of the stick her chaps. I don't care if you restore your bus or pay for someone to do it for you. What I was trying to get across but clearly failing is in regard to the magazines. Showing all those lovely buses that have had thousands spent on them. It seems like some of the mags are aimed at people with lots a expendable cash.

Anybody that has a camper is part of the crowd, there should be no
Elitism, although you'll find there is, amongst owners. I will happily chat to anyone.

It seems like some of the mags are aimed at people with lots a expendable cash.

Every mag and newspaper only exists by selling ads. However, if no-one buys one they are in the thick stuff, so they had better make sure they meet readers needs too. If you don't like it don't buy it!

that looks like a lubby jubbly deal ...ill be getting that deal very soon ......and i bet its 20 times better than camper and editors mate bus magazine...long live hayburner,got any jobs ,quite fancy being a vw reporter,travelling the uk taking pics of restos and buses,might even cook sumthing on my travels and write a book about it ..first meal will be toast followed by tin of heinz soup....johnny and his tesco club card and a camper(that i resto-ed myself ) ....

I sometimes think I should have just gone for a job as a reporter instead of trying to run it Iv been doing 15 hour days and we are two weeks away form sending it to the printers. when its gone Im spending a day in bed then I get to start it all again.

On first reading I thought - this is Pants - I'll admit that my eyesight ain't what it used to be but by Christ it's certainly diminished my Bath and Bedtime reading opportunities as the font style and size is a bit of challenge - background washs don't help either. Format is a bit odd as well - a bit of a mix between what went before and something entirely different :

Work in progress I hope - it's new so maybe it'll shape up - but for the moment 5/10

Good to know I am not the only one who thought that the print size had shrunk!! I would agree, the font size & the colours make it harder to read ... I may not be as young as I once was but I am most definitely not old enough to have issues reading a magazine ... honest!!!
