We would have been cold this winter without there help I know loads support the help for heroes charity but please remember that there are a lot of other forces charity that have been going since the world wars The royal british legion used to give a social life to ex serviceman but there bars are shutting down left right and centre If you want to give to a charity instead of doing paypal online or dropping a few quid in a pot My suggestion is find your local british legion club sign in as a guest and buy a few ex servicemen a beer The stories you wil be told and the charachters you will meet far outway the effort and the cost
you're right buddy, sometimes just listening to an old boy in a pub and buying them a beer means more than donating a few quid. when we went to Plymouth a few years ago there was an old boy (clearly a drunk!) in the pub telling war stories, everyone was taking the pee out of him, we sat him down, bought him a beer and some grub and settled down to a few hours of amazing stories!
