Them little holes in the bit where the front bumper's attached

  1. Hi di hi campers! Yes, Mr Stupid is back with another question. I know nothing. Can you tell?

What's the bit of body called where the front bumper's attached? A deformation panel, or something like that? Anyway, whatever its called, its got holes in it, not rot holes, but original factory holes. What are they for exactly? And aren't they going to let water in? Are rubber plugs supposed to fit in them? Surely, they're not supposed to be left open to the elements?

yes deformation panel, the 2 untapped holes are supposed to be there, dunno why but perfect for the thread on overriders to poke into

ok and as your bumper fits flush to them water cant get in

  4. They're designed as nesting places for very small birds, or rodents, according to the season.

dunno, mine are even bigger since i fitted my overriders in saturday, no waxoil or paint put on the holes either lol it'll be someone elses problem before i fix it, i don't plan on welding, sell it before then.

I've often wondered why there is that hole in the side?? I've never seen a bung for its oval shape so it's always bare but it is perfect for filling with wax. Trouble is its only on the n/s so you need a long probe.

I mend them. They rot from the inside. Just as well I have a long probe. :)
