we think unrestored bays and splits are dear? sorry it's a fox news link it was the 1st google one that came up http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2012/05/01/oldest-unrestored-mini-sells-for-65000/

What a lovely find. It does make you wonder though, to restore or not to restore?? Personally I think l would
Given their built in ability to rust it is quite a remarkable survivor. I think if you could get beyond two years of ownership without rust eruptions then it was a good one, probably built on a Tuesday. )
my mini is now 22 years old with the only replacement panels being the 2 small A panels in front of the wing if you look after them they will last
sorry if the title was misleading but i'm sure if you read my post it's the oldest unrestored mini, personally i can't see what the fuss is about as mini bungle says the 1st one exists but it takes all sorts.
