GREED Tbf it’s just kampers and g’day kombi’s both making a profit. It looks tidy but not £55k tidy. The real question is there a mug that’ll buy it. That’s the Criminal part! As the saying goes, a fool and his money...
Maybe if they get the money for it they can then cut the rip off cost of postage for small parts sales , that stop me from buying from them
I think if I had a bay now I’d sell it. The prices are absolutely mental. In fact beyond mental. Look at the state of most of the buses on justKampers and the prices people are asking. 16/17/18k for buses that are rotten. Rotten enough you can see it in photos ffs. Imagine how bad most of them would actually be in real life. Then there’s nice buses, that you know about three years ago you’d have happily paid £15k for, up now for 28-30k. For the foreseeable future. I’m out. I’m actually god forbid thinking about a westy t25 before all the w@@@kers pile in to those as well.
Davidoft and I were chatting about the very same thing just yesterday. A couple of years ago a shonkyish T3 Westy cound be had for 6 or 7k. Same vehicle now no less than 12. Good ones are out there but the prices are climbing.
Im thinking I should have swapped my T2 for a T3 when I was thinking about it, when folk still weren’t keen on them
T3 Westies are pretty bloody awesome. @davidoft may have one. But he'd have to look in the garage, so it may be a while before he posts it to you..
Looking at the price of these it’s made me wonder if I should sell Cyril. No idea what it’s worth now but given that I paid £11k 8 year’s ago & it’s in good nick with a brand new engine rebuild and the rust recently done I’m thinking that I might get £30-50k IMHO Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I got a good price for my van when I sold it 10 days ago and that's with a wrecked engine and needing a new interior, but the buyers reckon there would be a decent profit when they've done it up. With the money I got for the Bay I could buy a good T25 and have money left over.
Yes it was my Bay I sold. My son works at home and the money he saved not commuting to London last year he bought a nice pop top air cooled Devon T25 and he plans to sell his other Devon high top which needs bodywork restoration.
One less thing to maintain is always good, though having ditched most of my possessions I would say that.
My Daughter had a Bluestar Multivan 2.1 Auto Hannover edition ,I found it for her , lovely smooth thing to drive I wish I had sold the XO and bought it from her other than letting her sell it
I think we are on the mid stages of a massive asset bubble - house prices, van prices, classic car price, Bitcoin all that shizz has gone or Is going through the roof. Good if you want to sell and stay out……
Its when we start getting charged CGT on our busses as part of a way for the Government deciding to pay for Covid and Brexit.
Yes- classic cars CGT exempt at the mo….what about fine wine?’is that exempt although in this household it would definitely be a depreciating asset.
