  1. Welcome to page 5 :)

Ok so its taken me three days but i've finaly fixed all those pesky dead photobucket links... my egotistical demon can rest now.

So yesterday I completed the cab doorcards, I ended up having to basically destroy the kickpanel I glued up wrong but I made sure it wouldnt happen again lol

So since today I had to go and see my lovely doctor again and then a visit to loose even more blood and my drive home took me right past the unit....

Dont cha think! It would be rude not to call in and try them out...

I still haven't tried but my better half got me some adhesive removal wipes that they use in the hospital to try on the glue. It doesn't stick out as badly as I though it would so I can live with it if all else fails.

There are bits im not happy with and can hopefully improve on next time (as I've two more vans to build for) but for a first attempt im over the moon with the look and the difference it makes inside the cab is unbelievalble.

I'm thinking now maybe some speaker pods are required, will have to have a think.

    Valveandy and paradox like this.
  2. Well the cab is finished! for now anyway, I do have some other ideas but they may have to just stay that for now.

So last year I bought a replacement glovebox lid cheap off Ebay, it was cheap for a reason as it had been painted. I originally hoped I could remove the paint but alas it had had some serious paintage applied making it impossible to remove without damaging the plastic underneath.

So during on of my Jeremy Kyle sickness wallowing sessions I came up with this idea, take one nasty painted plastic lid...

With some planning and experimentation I came up with this,

Gutted again that it moved when I glued it but i'm chuffed for a first attempt, it can only get better with practice.

Still not sure about the finished article but it looks alot better than the alternative.

Happy for now, can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel,

Things are going to slow a little with the bay now as even being off sick my current workload is ridiculous, Having now sold my little 356 Speedster I've just aquired this ugly little duckling which will be getting put back to standard guise. If anyone needs a large fibreglass shelf, let me know before it gets smashed to pieces! It's lucky I cant drink at the moment as I could do with a stiff one after looking at the price of second hand Porsche parts, £8-900 for one headlight!
