Love these cars but frightened to buy one. Used to deliver them to customers and got to see first hand how much fuel they use and parts bills. My E30/E34/E36 were bad enough. Great to drive though
If you are handy with a spanner they aren't so bad.... if you buy a good one. As for the fuel - I average 24mpg which for the performance on tap isn't bad at all - however I only cover 4-500 miles a month, if I had to do more then my pockets wouldn't be deep enough.
I have wanted to get a better car for a while. Like to change every 12 months as I get bored easy. I have a MK4 GT-TDi pd150. I only drive around 500 a month also, so having an M3 or S4 I don't think it would be to bad. Even looking at 4x4 but tax is mad on some vehicles now
I used to have a convertible one (no I'm not a hairdresser haha) the sound with the roof down was amazing. Wish I'd never got rid of it even if it was thirsty.
