I've not seen England match as at fab neil young concert. Bit of a bummer to let a goal in at the end.

Watched second half of Wales match. Listened to first half whilst boiling to death sat in a Park Lane traffic jam in my getting v hot citroen van. Think there must have been a do at Hyde park

I'm off to get a wales shirt :). My people are from Merthyr Tydfil after all.

It was disappointing to let in a goal at the end, but the attacking play for most of the game was a joy to watch as it's not something we've shown huge amounts of in recent tournaments.
We should probably have done better earlier in the game, what with all the chances and attempts we had, which would have rendered a solitary Russian goal a consolation rather than a 'lucky?' point.
But that's England, that's football, and we move on to the next game. The majority of the play, and the team, was very good.

Don't like Rooney or think he should've been in the team, I was wrong he played well in that deep position. Sterling was useless and needs dropping. Unlucky at the end and the Wales game is massive now.

  9. are you saying a Woy motivational talk was the undoing of the England team ...

  10. I thought Rooney did well. Sterling is brilliant at running up the wing then produces next to nothing. Walker on the other side was great. Also Danny rose had a great game.

However what is Harry Kane doing taking corners?

I don't think you have too many worries on that score.

England are so weighed down by historical failure they'd probably kick it in their own net in a frenzy of panic if it looked like winning any game that mattered.

It's fun though, that inevitabilty keeps you on the edge of your seat. :)

  14. Even though I should know better. I always get excited when we are winning.

It's the hope that kills me.

So, genuinely intrigued by the role of sports science in international football, I did a bit of scratching around...

When you search for technical partner or lead analyst, even sports science and England football, there's very little on the web, plenty at club, little at international.

Germany meanwhile have various technical partners, they show tailored training plans for players, rehab routes, diet etc. They even have stats on how they ran collectively more than 8 kilometres more than France in the final, which is pretty much an extra player.

I'm assuming England are on a catch up, and whilst this stuff doesn't guarantee a win, when your opposition have a better understanding through analysis of how you play it can make life hard!

It can also explain how secret weapon players are nullified and relatively new players make big impacts the level off as their career matures.

Seems like other countries have allowed their thug armies to attend. We stopped ours? I hear 150 Rusky Ultas spent 24 hours running riot.
There was a huge bang about 5 minutes from the end. WTF was that?
Then mass attack and panic in the ground. If I'd gone I'd be on my way home right now. The French can't, or won't police it.

I have a mate who once went to Morocco on the ferry. The first thing he saw when he left the ferry terminal was someone being stabbed. Not a tourist, but still... He about turned and got back on the same Ferry. Sometimes you get a bad vibe.

it's on the telly for free, you get to see replays, you won't get blown up or killed/bummed/robbed and the only mongtards are the pundits, why would you go to see a little dot in the distance in real life?

For the "atmosphere"? For a punch up? Don't ask me I've never been to a footy match.
