  1. Painted the kitchen, in a blatant attempt to gain brownie points and garage time for when Desmond finally comes back from the paint shop and needs 2700000 hours to re-assemble him

I did an almost invisible repair to my windscreen wiper which decided to come loose in mucho rain on the A30 this morning :(. Fortunately as I had cleaned my windscreen last Techenders the rain slid off the window enabling some visibility until I got to Exeter :).
Left Beautiful Days site at 10.30 am got back to Sheffield at 9 pm.

As I was in convoy with my friend in her Bongo and we kept having festival related relapses it meant that we kept stoping at services. However Gloucester farm services is so fab I also had a kip and finally left at 5 pm :)

  4. Loaded the bus up today with a load of rubbish, the special one and the wee one! Took the lot to the dump then went for lunch with her and it ;)
    Didn't leave them there, honest.
Then she says, "Do you really want to sell the bus?"
I replied, " So you gonna come away in it with me then?"
She replied,"Hell no, it's just such a shame as it looks lovely now. "
    Bless her :)

Assisted @Flakey fitting a new coil and retiming my camper after coming to my aid yesterday when I couldn't start it. Cheers Duncan  - and thanks to JK for delivering my 5.30pm order from yesterday at 10.30am this morning

  14. Job one:
Cleaned out the broken glass from a recent break in then played with my new middle slider windows :D

    Jon two:
Got the wife's hairdryer and lifted the vinyl on the interior work tops. It had all started to lift with the moisture/ heat through the windows. Sanded down the ply and it goes pretty well so I've coated one lid with clear worktop oil. I'll check it out tomoro to see how it looks in the light.

Job three: tidied all the rubbish out and gave it a bit of a tidy. (Well stuck all the stuff in one box.)

Drove it round the block, parked up then sniffed my vents.

    Great night.

Booked the MOT! 18th Sept. I'm ashamed to say this is the first time I've really thought about the bus since May:eek:

Fingers x'ed we'll be in the bay at TE in Sept and not some other random example of the VW product range ;)

Drove it to work on a damp morning.
Every time I accelerated and then drove normally, for about a minute afterwards there would be a slight misfire.
Got to work and I could hear the crackling of ignition flashover while the engine was idling.
Seems to be the distributor cap . This had a light film of oil and grime inside it. So I put the spare cap on. Lets see how it goes on the way home.
