The new bit on the side.

After selling the Beetle due to it's shocking thirst for petrol i've gone back to diesel power, 130bhp Tdi Bora Sport. It's a 2002 with 120k genuine miles, hasn't got a name yet but it's a nice drive, 6 speed manual gearbox and fairly quick, i'm getting 40+ mpg to work and back and 50+ on a run so double the Beetle, it's a bit less hairdresser this time..... i looked at golfs but for my money they were all millenium miles or boy racered up, anyway here we go.

yeah plate came with it, mines been on retention for 2 years i'll prob sell mine now. and yeah they are quick, they do a 150 brake too, i bet they are mad.

 

Or, if you can find someone called "Aky" who lives on the A38, then you're quids in

 

ha, yeah i've been trying to work out how or what the plate can mean, i can only assume AKY was someones nickname, the HPI check shows the plate was fitted in 2006.

 

Hahaha if only I could 'like' this twice or more, if it was karma time that would be worth at least 10

 

Plate may sit well on an Audi A3 with a bit of creative spacing, when I looked at the rear plate a saw ABBA at first.

 

Boring ..... Change the name badge to jetta

 

i'll write to vw on your behalf, it's still called jetta in america, and other countries call it the vento.... bora is a bit bland for sure, it's a type of wind apparently, which with my arse is appropriate.

 

we were going to buy a 2.0 petrol one a few years ago but it drove so bad as it was the 8 valve engine we gave it a miss .(wife went for a Leon )
I have the 130 engine in my A3 and its been fantastic ,quick and totally reliable.

They binned off the Boring Bora name and i think its Jetta everywhere

 

yeah, the 2 litre 8v is the same as the beetle engine i just binned, to be fair i don't think it's a pretty car or even stylish, i'd agree it's boring - but value for money vs a golf i got a better deal for sure, i found a forum that only started up a few weeks ago which hopefully will grow but i agree it's not a popular choice of car.
