Some may be aware of the troubles ive been having locating a transformer for the amplifier for a jukebox i own . I have just bid on auction and "won" the bidding for the above jukebox pictured. I live in Ossett West Yorkshire , the Jukebox is at John Milne Auctioneers in North Silver street AB10 1RJ Aberdeen i know its a long shot and a long distance but is anyone comming closer to my area over the next few days/ a week that could assist in transport any closer to home for me to collect or whatever can be arranged ,I know its not the smallest of things but its not huge, i got my original one home in the boot of a ford Sierra Any offers advice would be appreciated
They used to live near me , ive been in one of their houses with loads of gold discs hanging on the walls and i mean loads ,from around the world
Proper group that only became famous after they started writing rubbish songs. Ex girlfriend used to sing in the same clubs years ago.
The one i have is totally dismantled but i found this online :- WURLITZER LYRIC E JUKEBOX 1964 - FULLY RESTORED DIMENSIONS 27 x 32 x 50 in WEIGHT 328 lbs. I am not sure that weight is correct as myself and the wife lifted ours into the tailgate of a ford sierra , mind you that was twenty years ago and we were both younger then
the auctioneers have a link to a courier service on their webpage, ive sent them a email but ive not heard back yet. i have phoned them but its just autometed replies telling you to contact them via email , you cannot talk to anyone . Ive just sat down at computer to start looking elsewhere . Anyone got a suggestion for a courrier service that tthey have used in the past .?
i can but its a round trip of over 13 hours and 720 miles , fuel costs may make it cheaper to use a courier ,
i will look at their site now, another courier advised Fedex but their website is a nightmare saying 50kg is kg larges weight , no numbers to phone for advice
Also used Interparcel more recently. I notice that National Pallets have been getting terrible reviews recently so perhaps there have been changes in the company.
Would you not need an estate large car to transport it in safely and two people at either end to lift it?
