Been today , i have been trying to get my teeth sorted over the last year , had to swap dentists recently as the other one was rubbish , my front fillings kept falling out and the false tooth wouldn't fit each time he renewed the filling - so i changed practices . i have just been to the new dentist today and she wants to take out his fillings and start again , i will have to go another two month's without a front tooth -- i hate going to the dentist sometimes and now i have another two month's of treatment Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Malc, I feel your pain. I went last Tue to have my front tooth repaired - it had a chip on it and needed some work. But after going in they did a check up and realised that one of my other teeth was far worse. A filling I had a year ago had gone bad - and when I had the filling put in - something odd happened. The dental nurse just got up and left during the procedure - leaving me and the dentist to finish it. So last week I saw a new dentist who had to remove the filling and said he had to file to tooth down to the gum as it wont hold any new fillings - he then filled it with basically chewing gum (with the nerve exposed) and I have to wait until NEXT Tuesday to get a new silver tooth put in. So now - I cant eat or put pressure on the right hand side of my mouth until next week - and the issue I still went in for is not resolved ..... Thank goodness for Codine
i had a chip on my tooth, i just kept chewing then swallowed it so i put another chip in my mouth, after my dinner i watched TV and didnt need the dentist
Knock'd my 2 front teeth out the day before xmas about 30 years ago. i was taking a rear wheel of a splittie (when they were scrp yard prices!) with a socket set slide bar and 2 extensions end to end on it. Stood on the bar, jumped on it and the middle bar sprang out and smashed my teeth in. Russian dentist in Bayswater did a couple of caps for me. they aint pretty but theyre still there. nothing like a bit of dental pain, hope you get it sorted soon. Cheers s
Ive got a book somewhere on diy dentistry for the survivalist i must dig it out sometime as ive not seen a dentist in the 6 years ive been out of the forces
Hey paradox, if you were in Aldershot in the mid 90's, I probably trained on you ex dental corps I wonder if my karma will mysteriously disappear on that bombshell
Im not quite that old However i thnk i would have rather worked on myself rather than the Pain mongers errm i mean forces dentist i came across I still have a twisted tooth on my bottom jaw because they considered it a cosmetic job even though i was in pain with it for two years For those interested a mix of pine resin and charcoal from the camp fire makes a very good tempory filling if your far from a dentist

I was lucky enough to get teeth which don't need regular trips to Mr Dentist. Or maybe I'm just a good brusher. I went to see him when I was 15. The experience put me off going for another 20 years. I never went again until I was 35 (8 years ago). That was enought to put me off for another 20 years. So, I won't be seeing him now for another 12 years.
i went back today to get my new tooth fitted ..... solid lump of steel now implanted in my mouth - but it should last 25+years i didn't take any photos .... i mean ... who would do that
