You see, this is what I aspire to! Winter warmth. I really can't see me doing another winter, after this one, in my current job - even if I've still got a job (which is extremely unlikely)….. I could do this. For sure!
When we went they were just phasing out the old buses that had been shipped out from Britain in the 50's and 60's as someone like Arriva had taken over running public transport. Buses had been dirt cheap until then.
I'm counting the days to when we become empty-nesters - I won't spend another winter here unless I'm living within walking distance of a beach.
£800 per month for an apartment in st.pauls bay, £29 each way for flights... not that i'm procrastinating and googling instead
A few mm's of rain in October then back to 25C for Christmas and New year. Very basic cluster of islands - ours was the only flight if the day! It is now up and coming - locals very poor but very cheerful and smiley - how does that work?!
St Paul's and St Juliana bay are the dearest on the island - you'd stay for much less than that elsewhere.
sound bloody perfect! just checked out a multiple flight deal for sao vicente ... less than £400 with a 6 hour layover in marrakesh and a 16 hour layover in lisbon. where's the hardship??
so which island would you suggest? at the moment i'm only window shopping but.... maybe christmas on a beach would be just perfect
My mistake - It was St George's Bay and St Julians Bay that are dear - and Valetta. Buggibha is near St Paul's Bay but I'd think you could get cheaper if you looked into it. Gozo is an odd one - didn't seem that welcoming.
ah, i see... bugger malta, i'm now onto cape verde..... it looks stunning! just found two weeks hotel and flight to Sal for less than £500...
