Is it factory to screw the joints, I would have thought staples were a much better solution

How are you going to protect the wood? And is all this a dry fit before you take off and protect it?

Using the old framing as a template once it’s done will remove the side

Will be painting it with a clear wood preservative that also washes the wood removes bacteria, wet rot, dry rot, wood worm, Barry Haynes

Thought about breathable felt between aluminium clad and framing. However it looks like most people paint the bottom section with black paint?
