Can they be bought again, reproduced, ive slipped with the grinder and ruined it

you can buy replacements but the dont look the same you leave it and hope the mot tester only ever checks the stamped one in the engine bay

looking at the photo again there is no damage near the actual individually stamped chassis number (the important bit) so you will be fine come mot time, its only if the mot man cant read the chassis number your going to have a issue, my chassis plate was drilled though by some rough arse at devon conversions when the van was brand new when they were fitting buddy seats to the bulkhead and thats been like that since 1975 with multiple mot's since

 

mot man dont normally check on classics.......if they do ,there a jobs worth loooooool

 

Ok cool, it not a big slice i put into it when i slipped with the grinder, more annoying to look at then MOT failure
