    These bands defined Leeds in the mid 80s, Anybody who was there and did the Warehouse fridays and the Phono saturdays will know. Then rockshots happened which turned into back to basics, goth turned to hands in the air acid clubbing, just brilliant times.

    When my ex and I moved to London we moved to Wapping so we would be near Andy Weatheralls club by London Bridge. Seems weird now to look back on it. I havent been in a club for years but there was a time I was in one 5 nights out of every seven. Even monday nights ay Cinderellas in Leeds, 10p a pint. Or the Rocket in Holloway, their mega dog nights at brixton academy were something else

    Great thread. Reminds me of some of the sadly missed Radio 2 message boards, people showing their music tastes to othersf, a great way of finding about new and old (but new to me) stuff. This lady was on Later last week, and we saw her at Greenman in August, fab singer and songwriter
