    We're certain its the test pieces; Thin Film Sulphuric Acid Anodised Aluminium, they have had some magic done on them to get into the grain boundaries. Proper wizardry.

    Tweaking the PID control loop makes little difference unless we run less than 5Hz then its a lovely wave :D

    Too fast :(

    We're on a fixed rate, for the deflection we are moving, in each case, we have to run at a set rate which is a function of the deflection.

    The frequencies we can use are 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 7 and 10Hz.
     
  4. Putting the SWR meter away, I came across my Grandfather's war-time radio kit. He was a radio operator in the far East. I've also got his hand typed book of Japanese Morse code. He could read Morse code so fast he had to use shorthand to write it down.

    Not test kit, but almost as interesting, with more than a bit of history. [​IMG]
