I often shop in Tesco. Asda, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Aldi n Lidl, not forgetting our local farm shop, and gawd bless em, the local co op, I use em all. Depends what I need, and what I know I can get from one particular shop. If I shunned products from one retailer who may or may not have a negative to their name, I'd probably have very little left in the house. Presumably we all put petrol in our cars, do we avoid doing so because of the not always ethical practices of the petrochemical companies? .....
That's us as well,we do prefer Morrisons over the rest but it all depends when and where we are, Tescos does come last on our list because we think the quality is lower but we do fill the car up at tesco
Tesco takes an hour to walk round even if you buy nothing. The produce is crap and over priced. Waitrose takes 20 minutes, the produce is good, but it's expensive. Sainsbury's keep over-stocking on cream cakes and sell them off for 20p instead of £1.20. I shop in Sainsbury's.
two years ago it was heaving on a Saturday morning! Kirkby has its Morrisons and Aldi now & I guess they stole a lot of trade from Hucknall, Morrisons started with the best intentions, you go Friday teatime & try and get fresh ciabatta or cobs from the pick n mix section, they are now empty..the salad bar does get messy & not cleaned as it should the best part is its selection of beers n wines!
Not sure if this is across all the main supermarkets - but I suspect its commonplace, but particularly in Asda you cannot buy a bag of satsumas or mandarins etc etc without having 2 battered and bruised ones in the bag, they are obviously packed this way and supplied as per the supermarkets instructions - result is I stop buying fruit in said supermarket!
we recently had a big tesco in rugeley, i swore i'd never go BUT i got pulled in, cheap fuel good offers (as long as you don't get sucked in) money off coupons and fuel save vouchers etc, i've knocked half an hour off my weekly shop and at least a tenner off my bill by being savvy, use them and don't let them use you and you become a bad customer for them but do yourself a favour i reckon.
I didn't realise that people actually go to these supermarkets, all I do in my house is leave the empty box, bottle or packet out on the kitchen side and when I get back in after work there's a new full one in the cupboard. I've always wondered how it worked.
