Techenders jobs - how much waxoyl to do a bay properly

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by Bertiebot, Aug 21, 2012.

  1. Hi all

My jobs list for Techenders is growing by the day but one I am really keen to do is waxoyl using Eddie's vehicle lift. I bought the kit yesterday and have a canister for the pump and 5 litre refill tin. Is that enough waxoyl to do a bus or am I going to need a second refill? It would be a shame to only do half the job but it is £30 a tin.

    Cheers

Are you talking cavity wax or underneath wax?
Your "pump" won't manage the cavity stuff. I know it comes with a tube for this put it's complete crap and should be done on the trades description act.

  3. I completely agree with zed

Those tins of cavity wax that come with a hand pump dont atomise the wax enough to do a decent job at all

  4. Underneath definitely and I was intending asking around at Techenders as to which cavities to do and best way to access etc. if the Waxoyl spray nozzle is pants hwhat is your recommended way of spraying in cavities?
