    I think it’s £10/£12 a night but will check.
I’ll check and confirm Covid stuff when the rules get relaxed again.

    Afternoon all,
Right, it looks like we might have a problem!
30 names on the list so far. In reality, 25 of those will turn up, but it’ll consist of 50+ people.
Restrictions are likely to be max 30 people outdoors, even though 10,000 will be allowed in sports stadiums and 1,000 at indoor music events...
    I don’t want a £10k fine. I’ve not asked Eddie yet, but he won’t want a £10k fine.
I’ll speak to Eddie this week and see what he’s thinking.

Hopefully after June 21st the restrictions will be lifted on the 30 people max at an individual gathering!

    31) @F_Pantos 31 is 13 backwards, unlucky number if it's max 30 :(

  8. But it’s a campsite, surely Eddie would be restricted to 30 people max if that was the case?

davidoft, scrooge95 and paulcalf like this.
  9. We will know more on 17th May when we go into Step 3 and hopefully they will provide further clarification.

    At the moment it says:
    30 people limit outdoors.
Some large events - capacity limits apply.
    • Outdoor other events: 4,000 or 50%

  10. The place I've just been camping at was allowed, we just had to bring your own facilities. As you say @paulcalf, it's just a campsite and camping is allowed. The fella that booked the camping is a pucka large scale events organiser, he wouldn't break the rules, he would cause himself no end of grief for his much much larger events. I don't do Facebook but it's all listed there, as plain as you like, even a picture of me and the Bus.

The issue isn't numbers on campsites per se, but restrictions on numbers at organised events and rallys.
The campsite here is rammed this weekend, but all on the basis they are individual bookings with no common or organised gathering. Go figure, but it's the current law.

  12. Campsites and pubs etc can have more than 30 people in an outdoor space already.

People see Techenders in different ways, depending on what they consider it to be:
    An organised event?
A group of more than 30 people?
Lots of people camping in the same place?

People will have to wait until after 17th May before we know more.

  13. After the 17th May campsites are even allowed to open their toilet blocks!

  14. I think there's a lack of legal clarity surrounding this area, the reason I posted the above was because a) it was a ticketed event and b) the organiser would not have risked breaking the law for the small sums he made compared to the bigger stuff he normally does and thus risk his right to run his business.

Eddie and Doug get the last say, of course.

Edit and c) it's all there on FB for anyone to see.

  15. Techenders is not an organised event like the one you mention though.
No one owns it, no one sells tickets and no one makes any money from it.
    No one even organises it.
People pay the camp site directly.

I'll seek some guidance about what exactly is allowed or not.

  16. Yes, agreed, to me, if this last weekend was legal, and I am sure it was, then why wouldn't TE also be so? Again, it's not my call, and I am not trying to be pushy about this, sure I want to come along, but only if Doug and Eddie etc are happy, I am just trying to add some useful data points.

  17. I'll check if Techenders can take place under the regulations or what needs to be done differently.
I will update when more is known.
If Techenders can't take place under the regulations then it isn't the end of the world.
I'm still going camping that weekend and unless Lutterworth Farm is closed then I shall go camping there!

I've got an exeat for that weekend so I'm hoping that there'll be space for me. Not sure how to add to the list without tagging everyone. Anyway, should probably wait until you update us on spaces @paulcalf .

Right, we’ve sought advice from a council events team, and Vic Farm:
~As no-one sells tickets, this is not classed as an event.
~As the date is chosen by consensus, there is no organiser.
~As Vic Farm is a bonafide campsite, we’re just a load of campers doing what campers do. Camping.
~The barn will be set up with socially distanced tables of 6 in case of bad weather.
    ~No mass (30+) hugs.
As long as everyone is sensible, it can go ahead.
I said this last time and got resoundingly ignored, but please don’t camp on top of each other. It’s a bloody big field. Use it.
    Thanks
