Techenders, 11th - 13th June 2021. Who's There...?...

I've secured a trailer for the weekend so I can bring my sick bus and have a weekend away. Hopefully I'll come home with a running one

Is there anybody that can bring a distributor with points so that I can take @mikedjames and @zedders advice of setting the static timing before fiddling with the carb. It's still running like a bag of marmite and undriveable.

 

Techenders thrives on a challenge doesn't it.
I wish I could be there but I'm washing my hairs that weekend.

 

I have a spare, but it's an 009, not an SVDA.

 

That should do to set the timing I would have thought?

 

I've just thought of a job to do! Fit the beautifully crafted @davidoft rear seatbelt mounts. Not got the belts yet, but at least they will be ready for when I do!

 

Thanks, I only need it until it's running. I'm sure a suitably qualified person will be on to tell us if it fits. I thought I was going to have to kip in a tent but at least now I'll have the "luxury" of my bus. See you on Thursday

 

Different clamp between the two engine types, pretty certain on that, but the same otherwise.

It will certainly work with your clamp, Paul.

What engine do you have? I keep a spare dizzy in my van already clamped up, but it has electronic ignition, but will be fine for a type 1 engine

It's a type 4, I think they're the same @F_Pantos is bringing one, he's also going to be there on Thursday as are a few others.

 

Does anyone also have a spare coil I could try if all else fails please?

 

Mr Robo, Robo Junior and a stray one we call Katie’s boyfriend are going for a “boys” camp Thursday until me and Katie arrive Friday evening!
