Looking for a 230v 60/70l fridge to chuck in the awning when on a longish camp ,must be cheap , condition not too important as long as its clean and not smelly ( the wife says it must not have been used for maggots before ) Ideally not too far from Nottinghamshire , Lincolnshire , Cambridgeshire as I can collect from this areas easily
I've still got @Lasty 3 way fridge/cool box that my friends had considered buying but then changed their minds. I was going to bring it to techenders. @Lasty I keep forgetting to inform you of this
Is it a free standing fridge Alex, I don't have the layout to suit one that's fitted in the camper so looking for one that we can just chuck in as and when needed , if you can let me know more info - i could be interested
Morning. Yes it is. It's quite old but still works. It was once mine, I sold it to davidoft, he sold it to Lasty. I then decided I needed one again and bought another one then Lasty kindly lent me his for my friends to use at a festival. I've not used it on 12v only on gas and 240. It's in my garage so I will take a photo once I get up. It's just a blue I think 40l cool box/fridge It's quite big tho. I will measure it too
Hi @Dazza - if @Merlin Cat brings it along you can try-before-you-buy More of a 3 way coolbox but will hold copious amounts of booze `for the missus ...`
I think it`s a Coleman but Alex will know as it`s in her garage . Nothing flash but does what it says on the tin AND has never held maggots - unless Alex has taken up fishing ...
Thank you bringing the cool box along Alex, feel a bit guilty for not taking it but as I explained to Chris, we are looking for a more fridge like fridge..if that makes sense??
I have this electrolux 3 way fridge http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/electrolux-3-way-fridge.64687/ Bit smaller than you were after at 45l
To be honest I don't think I need the gas option and would like one to just plug in when hooked up and chuck it in the awning. Thanks for the offer though
This one seems a good deal. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Electrolu...290596?hash=item2f0c44ae64:g:XuQAAOSwVaVZz18F The seller claims it works well on 240V and 12V but does not get as hot on gas. I have had this issue with our Electrolux RM123 absorption fridge in the van and after inverting it and thoroughly cleaning the flue it now works fine. The one for sale may just need the back taking off, cleaning and inverting to make it ok all all 3 heat sources.
It does look to be a good price, one of the reasons I didn't go for the one @Merlin Cat was selling is because it's an upright cooler, I'm after a fridge so that we don't have to put everything in from the top and on top of each other...more practical to have a traditional front loading fridge
Know anyone near Luton @Dazza ?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/carvin-fr...860822?hash=item4b2906d516:g:kZkAAOSwxX1Z16TL
I don't know anyone round that area and don't get round those parts nowadays either. I've not seen these before, its hard to tell how big they are internally, look good though
@Dazza ... This model would be a good bet - They appear to be a good deal at £250 ish new so £50 would be ok . The one i linked to seems to have a ding on the back but i`d buy it They`re 3-4 inches `deeper` than a Waeco/dometic/Electrolux RM 122/3 which are 30 litre capacity . The Carver is 43 litres i believe , up to you but it`ll be right enough i reckon ....
