Table bracket (two part strip plastic extrusion type) source

Discussion in 'Camper Conversions' started by Ageinggroover, Sep 24, 2013.

  1. Anyone know of a supplier of the two part plastic extrusion type table bracket? I went along to my local caravan shop this morning to buy one and they say their supplier no longer has them. Can't find them on eBay either - seemed to be several sellers last year.

Of course I really want the Devon aluminium extrusion type but these haven't been made for years.

  2. The place that did my units has tables like those on their website....assuming its the strip that fixes along the cabinet front and lets the table top fold down and hang from it when not in use?
Might be worth dropping them a message and seeing if they could flog you a bit of it.....its Starlight Campers on here.

  3. Thanks for the reply. I don't think that's the same stuff that I'm after.

    Here's a picky of what I need:

  4. Try O'Briens Camping , Leisure Spares, Cak Tanks, or Reimo

  5. Thanks - I think this stuff is made by Fiamma. I checked around locally and nobody could get hold of any. Found a few online but most out of stock or expensive. Drew a blank with all the retailers you listed - online at least.

  6. i think not sure carlperkins whos doing a resto had these bits ?? worth a try ? i have them on my eurovette have you tried devon ??

  7. yeah...I've just been having a browse....seems every one does the sliding stuff but not the stuff you need...have definitely seen it in aluminium on a profile website...will have a troll

don't want to get your hopes up but i think i might have some from my old eurovette table. I've definitely got two shorter lengths that go to make up the lid that goes over the swing out cooker...I'm looking at it right now...will have a mooch in my shed tomorrow and get back to you...don't bank on it though as i had a massive clear out this summer to make way for a new garage

  8. Thanks I'll try both - it's a shame no one does anything like the original Devon extrusion - I've spent ages looking at extrusion suppliers.

  9. Thanks really appreciate it. I posted on here, prototype bay and the split screen forums a year or so ago for the aluminium stuff and nobody seems to have found a profile that's near. Just need 50cm to finish the top on the swing-out cooker I made.

I had a great deal of success with the aluminium trim for the tables etc. All the retailers want a fortune for it but I bought mine from the manufacturer for about a fiver for four metres!

This is the profile, in case you need to start trawling thru extrusion catalogues....takes 15mm board(12mm plus laminate)

  11. Ok...so you only need enough for the swing out....PM your address....you can have the stuff in the pic FOC...you can buy me a pint if we bump onto each other at a show:burp:
assuming this is what you need...looks different from your pic but won't look out of place
    Devon Eurovette c. 1976

  12. You're an absolute star:). Many thanks, your beer token credit has been established;). PMed.

Pah!!! I was keeping an eye on this conversation to see if anyone had sourced a supply of the aluminium stuff :(

  14. I've definitely seen something very similar when I was looking for a different profile...don't keep a bookmark history so will no doubt find it again at some point
