If I ever get over my latest mid-life crisis (3rd one), I will go down that dark road

I have a T5 and a T2, if you revolve the front seat in a bay there is more room inside then a SWB T5

  8. Im thinking i might need one as im old and i would like to sleep ( dream) out the back ::) whilst betty is washing up ;).

  9. break down or need a service and you will be wanting your classic van again

  14. I had a t5 work van was an 09 plate and it drove really well and it felt safer than any other van I've had

  15. stop all this talk of how good T5's are. I've had my current daily for 3 years now, its got 115k on it and the steering is getting a bit dodgy, and i'm getting itchy feet looking to change it but do not fancy any other car at the minute so a complete change to a T5 might be on the cards.

  16. Do it there great looking and nice to drive , seen one at work today it was a lwb 06 plate with rear seats and side windows ,looked very smart for its age

  17. Had a 54 plate t5 2.5 130 bhp. drove like a car, not to bad on fuel BUT had major issues, possible cracked head on cylinder 3 that appears to be a common prob ( VW deny this ) drive shaft splines wearing on gearbox end, dual mass fly wheel and a few other niggly problems all in 4 months! 120k on the clock with full vw history! would certainly NEVER touch a 2.5 again.
Also noticed some later vans 58 plate era were suffering from rust issues on cills!!

  19. The T5 California is a great piece of kit. Mrs DA and myself have been trying to work out how we could possibly afford one. Unfortunately most of the ideas we had involved a life of crime.
