Swap Empi twin exhaust for Stock

Bought a bus with an empi twin exhaust fitted same as this one from JK:




I'm getting old and prefer the stock look! Anyone fancy a swap? It looks like it hasn't been fitted for very long.

 

Just to clarify, fits all 1.7-2.0 type 4 engines.

 

except ones with californian triangular hx's....

 

make sure your nuts ain't tight i've had a mare with mine!
drilling them off works wonders.

 

I haven't got one to swap , but if you want to sell it I'd be interested.

 

The asumption of normal folk is that unless told differently that sh1t is not american or californian. If someone is stupid enough to buy one then its their look out if the buy UK market or euro stuff as - do you know what - thats where we are. FFS everyone will be buying brown buses next!

 

envy is a green eyed monster! how's the welding going? can't stop to chat about these rotten euro busses - too much camping to do.

Two words....... Fuel Injection. I say no more

 

Fuel injection is overated!
my stock twin carb will give any FI a run for its money!

 

true, this is why no modern car is carb..........

 

Modern fuel injection is not overrated!
Just old busses with it.If it goes wrong then you can really have a battle.
At least carbs are easier to fix to get it home.

Haha! Interesting. Exhaust swap to the merits of FI in 3 easy posts...... Nice work! The swap deal went down in Exter Service station 24hrs before carbs were better than FI!
