Just replacing my fan and fan housing after powder coating. I've taken pictures of everything as I've removed it with the exception of a surclip. Not sure where it goes. Any ides? Engines a type four 2 ltr.
Is it the electric fan you mean? I don't think there's a circlip in the engine fan. The electric fan has a clip holding the fan onto the motor shaft.
It's the engine fan. I put all the bolts in envelopes and the surclip was in the one for the fan and housing. Can't see where it goes though.
Andyv, couldn't find it on the microfishes. Thought some pics might help. I'm starting to think that someone has planted it in the envelope. I can remember taking it off but not from where.....I wonder what ever happened to my memory. I was warned about to much cider lol Really can't see where it goes. It might have to be put with all those other spare bits from ikea
nowt to do with fan that clip holds the rubber hose bit from the alternator in to the fan housing . stops the rubber cooling tube bit falling out of aluminium housing
