Hi, politely ignoring Don's picture, just a reminder that we will be meeting in the main car park, Formby Point, at 12, to start a rambling walk as soon as we are all there. It wont be a strenuous romp, but there are a variety of paths so strong shoes etc The weather (at the moment) is due to be good and we will be walking through the squirrel reserve onto the old asparagus fields through to the NT rare breed fields (although don't get excited, they're empty for now) through the woods, over the dunes to the beach, a walk along (tide allowing - I haven't had time to check the times) and along to what we called the badger woods when I was a kid, then ambling through the woods to the car park.

It's roughly this route but in reverse, so same but different



Not everyone will be there in their vans, don't worry about turning up in a car, it's an opportunity to meet other tlb-ers so bring something to eat and drink for a chat after and before. There should be the coffee cart and an ice cream van (for the brave!) there, but bring your own just in case.

Notice: Due to very high winds, this property will be closed on Saturday 10th January. We hope to reopen late morning or lunchtime on Sunday 11th January if the wind speed is safe to do so. The "Recycle your Christmas tree" event on Sunday 11th January is cancelled due to the high wind speed forecast.

Hi all, having checked the NT Formby Point website and the weather forecast it looks like we'll have to postpone the walk. The site may open midday today but as people are travelling to get there a 'maybe' isn't enough to go ahead. Don't worry, we'll plan another hopefully when the wind isn't throwing trees in our path!
