  1. Hi all, don't know if maybe this should be in the Mechanical question section but just wanted to hear from all the Subaru engine powered buses out there.....
How did you reduce your ECU loom? Do you have any wiring diagrams which show which wires do what and which wires you dont need??
Im making a new loom up for the other bus and have the ECU loom, just need to figure out how to incorporate it into the new wiring for the buses original fittings? An help on thsi would be appreciated, thanks guys and gals!! :)

  2. should be starting mine in the next couple of weeks.basically i plan to reduce all the wirnig down while the motor is still in the car & a runner.once iv`e got down to bare minimum of wiring & sussed out supplies, earths etc i`ll pull the engine & box out.i`m using a 94 wrx so if any use to you i can give you pin out data & wiring used once i`m sorted.

  3. That'd be cool fella, girlfriends dad has already pulled Ecu, I just hope he's got all the right parts! Lol

  4. I didn't do mine, so I can't be much help I'm afraid. However all the fuses, ECU, etc for the *engine* live under the back seat. There will be a temptation to put the ECU in the engine bay - DON'T: it's not weatherproof and you will ruin it. In a subaru, the ECU and wiring lives behind the passenger airbag, so I've been told, so *inside* the vehicle.

There are a couple of diagrams on vwkd.com depends on which engine you have. What ever you do don't shorten any of the wires as they don't like it. I put my ecu under the back seat and took 12v supply from the starter motor. Don't forget to add a vehicle speed sensor. Richard jones at RJES is very helpful if you have problems
