For sale is my 1978 Bay - £11,500 This write up is from when i bought it as nothing has changed except it has had a brand new alternator fitted. Totally restored to a very high spec over the last 7 years with no short cuts taken and only quality parts and professional tradesmen. Bodywork Restoration: A signifficant amount of time was spent cutting every bit of rust off the van. All doors were sourced from rust free imports, new back corners, new front foot wells. I was determined to ensure that I ended up with an immaculate finished job. I went the extra mile in sourcing the right parts, some items took months to get and if new parts were not available I insisted on only using original rustfree Brazilian imports. Respray/Exterior: The quality of the respray matches the bodywork restoration. The colour is pillar box red with a white top. The van is solid with a professional quality respray, in what is an eye catching colour. For additional storage a tailor made roof rack has been fitted. Engine: A professionally reconditioned 1600 engine that has only done 7000miles. Twin webber cars with an EMPI exhaust that makes the van sound great. Additional extras include a larger oil simp to prevent the engine overheating. The van cruises at 70/75 quite comfortably. Interior: The interior is excellent. It has red and white seat/rock 'n' roll 3/4 bed with new 6" foam. There are red and white striped curtains throughout which shut out every window when all closed. Solid beech block worktop, snev sink and cooker, full electric hook up with lead, 240 12 volt sock adaptor, overhead storage, under sink cupboard with shelf and a cupboard next to the bed. There are 15 very effective LED spot lights and 2 high beam lights at night with a cool sony sound system. The roof is a classic parry ragtop which is fantastic in summer, cruising around the coast or up in the hill.s A chrome sidestep and Fuch replica porsche alloys. It's an absolute dream and one head-turning cool bus. As I said the only reason i want to let go of this bus is because my parents bought it for me with the intention to pay them back monthly which is proving too hard for me to guarantee due to my casual job.
