Who can see more strikes coming. Those that only got 5% or so will surely now go on strike for the 22%…

    Bad day for OAPs.

No matter what gov’t in charge seems to suggest don’t work hard, don’t save for rainy day/retirement and you’re rewarded.

  3. Yup. Pensions are a luxurious thing of the past.

  4. Did you pay into a Private pension soggzy ?

  6. I did, when I worked in a factory. For about 14 years. Don’t think it’s worth anything though. Probably get 20 quid a week, if I’m lucky…I’ll just let the state pay for me, like everyone else does.

  7. I wouldn't assume that. Find out who the pension was with and what its current value is.

Why not you’ve been paying for your parents long enough and you put enough in why not claim what you’re due? In the 90’s under the Labour government pension investments grew more than ever before but it got used elsewhere under the next government!

Can you get them at Waitrose? Are they organic and ethically sourced?

Big mistake their upsetting the ultra wealthy. That definitely made the pension companies chuck their toys out!

In all fairness he did make a blunder their but overall he was a very good chancellor!

  17. I can take 20% of my pension, tax free, at 55, or something. Is it worth it, or just leave it in there?
( might die/ get run over by a train/ heart attack during sex, etc)…

I’ve heard rumour labour are going to cancel that within the next 5 years.

    25% tax free.

Also for every year you take money out early, it’s my belief you loose 5% value. So take it out 10 years early and that’s 50% less pension than if you take it at 65.

I’m not sure anyone can advise you what to do. Unless pension adviser etc. bloke down the pub is invariably always wrong.
