Stiglet - My recently restored daily driver

  1. Well here is my recently restored daily driver named "Stiglet". She is a 1998 Mini Cooper Sportspack with a 1275cc multi point injection engine. I bought her five years ago and shortly after buying her someone thought it would be a great idea to pull out infront of me and put her brakes to the test, sadly she failed the test badly and ended up like this;

    So I bought her back from the insurance and spend the next 4 years learning how to do everything from take her apart, refurbish all the mechanics, weld, fabricate etc.

    So after 4 years of learning I ended up with this;

    Luckily the mini restoration has meant i've spent quite a bit on tools and equipment and so the restoration of my camper should be a doddle.... famous last words!

    If anyone is interested I have a thread on the mini's restoration here - http://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums/topic/40100-repairing-the-sportspack/

    Thanks

    Liam
