Sticky gears

  1. Hi all
    Having difficulty in engaging my gears on VW T2 1974, especially reverse is there a chance they could have seized up? this has just recently happened otherwise running ok.

  3. Have you got any oil in your gearbox?
     
  4. Yes oil in gearbox, well topped up.

  6. how recently has it been happening? I would have a good look at the rod coupler at the gearbox end, its probably worn out and sloppy.

    And check that the clutch is releasing properly as that can also cause issues. The clutch cable may be about to snap as it gets longer as strands rot away or crack.
    Also is the bracket guiding the clutch cable tube under the rear suspension tube still fixed and not snapped off .
