Cheers for that. I’ll have a measure up at the weekend and see what I’ve got. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Exactly this, they look better on 15s, I think an Early wide 5 bay looks good on 15" split wheels as well
While the split is still away at the shot blasters at the moment here's a little update from August when I chopped out a few more panels in preparation for sending her off to the shot blasters.
the options paint wise for mine keeping with the year were Dove, Grey, Palm/sand, Sealing / chestnut I toyed with Palm/sand but in the end went with the original which was Dove, thinking back there was no decision really and I would always go with the original colour.
Despite the surface rust it looks very solid, are you going to bond that long side on? apart from the sill and waist.
Yeah it looks worse than it is. It would’ve been even better if the previous restorer had primed it all after blasting instead of just leaving it bare. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It’s going back to bulkhead as it’s going to be more of a van than a camper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It was originally dove blue but it’s a bit too close to neptune blue and out bay is that colour anyway. The epoxy I bought is tinted pearl white so that’ll give me an idea of the colour before I commit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Racking all finished and all the bits for Stevie organised. I should’ve built all of this years ago as it would’ve made restoring the other two vehicles so much easier.
Stevie will be ready to come back from the blasters next week, pictures to follow. Canea wait to get stuck in over winter now.
Stevie is all ready to collect from the Shotblasters this week! She’s been blasted inside and out, and given a coat of epoxy. I’m so chuffed with how it’s come out and it’s at least confirmed my belief that she was one worth saving. Thanks again to the team at QSE metalblast for taking the job on! Over to me to get on with the metalwork next.
