Stepped cam all floppy

Should there be some resistance? and having trouble maintaining idle.When I push the throttle my oppo in the noisy cupboard said that the cam seemed very loose, jumping from top to bottom step.

 

Is your choke loose nick

 

was it sat idling and already warmed up?

 

Has the bimetallic spring in the choke unit snapped? Is it properly engaged with the choke plate shaft? Take it off and have a look.

 

Couldnt get it warmed up Barney , choke seems inop , Snotty thats what we figured but it got all dark and scary so will have to wait til the morrow.

 

check see if screws holding it in a tight too. sounds like it might be bust but fingers crossed .
