It is CIDER........ Not cidre.

 

It tastes of pretty much nothing at all. Tried it once. It's not offensively bad and won't make you puke but it's probably the blandest cider I've ever tasted.

If you're going mass market, you want some Aspall's Premier Cru or some Weston's Vintage.

 

Theirs a good Kentish cider called "Rough Old Wife" lol

 

But you can't beat good olde Somerset Riches cider.

 

We have a local guy up here who looks like Catweazel and makes really good proper cider, not that mass produced fizzy apple wine rubbish.

I only just noticed this weekend that normal Stella is now only 4.8%
It use to be 5.5% when I was a teenager.
They already have a stella 4 so why have they done that?
