El, you sure know how to pick 'em. Another lovely bus. Not quite as nice as that A1 poo brown bus you sold last year but very very nice nonetheless.
thanks again all .yes baydreams your right its not as nice as my poo one.think i will find rockin -horse- sh,t before i find another one like that.i must admit i do compear everything to that ,but with the money i got from that .i manged to buy 3 westies and all were very good .ive been very lucky and almost got this one for nothink.so was a means to an end really .so carnt complain.i do really miss the poo one but there is something about this one as well .i no there not everyones cup of tea but i love the stripes.the history on the bus is lovely .its been all over the states and has been babied and loved all its life .im in contact with the original owner and have got on so well with him im picking him and his wife up, in the bus from the airport in march when there over here to visit friends.they live 5 mins away from me. how mad is that .he is made up about .hes told me of every trip and mishap they had.you could right a book.its no show bus but is in a way for what it is if you no what i mean
gorgeous. i have a '79 also, just purchased and it's the shop having an engine overhaul. like you, i'm only fair at wrenching, but good at the detailing. i was wondering what you used to get the door jams, engine deck lid, etc, so nice and clean? and also, it looks like (in the first picture,) that your rims were quite rusty and dirty. and in the end pics they're a lovely white. did you sandblast them? wondering how you cleaned them prior to painting. again, beautiful job.
