  1. Its on the tv this week most of us know people who have this marmite invasion of life, a few might remember i put up a thread about my best mate Dave, he loves Vws ,has owned splits and bays. Have been phoning him alot over the last year or so and go and see him down near Eastbourne when ever i can. He has similar sense of humour and we try n make one another laugh the best medicine in the world sometimes but this last week i cant :'( hes been told the funding / money is not their for the drug that can make things a little easier for him >:D why >:D its not on it tears me apart and he wont laugh no more :(, I just dont know how the doctors should be expected to sit and say to patients sorry but i need to get the funding >:D when you see the money they waste and throw at other countries all the time. Hes a speedway fan ,like me and was a quite good grass track racer in his day , hes in his sixties worked all his life ,one of the real nice blokes ,Why is it always the good ones?? , its terminal in his lymph glands blood etc. Tonight i called him to speek ,Speedway league final has been postponed again tonite, he has sky just so he can watch it, but week and a bit ago he cancelled it cause season was due to end and he said i prob :'( wont need it next year.He cant even walk to the loo hes so tired. Its probably to late for Dave but if youve got any spare pennies ,support this. It could be anyone at anytime. Sorry its a bit gloomy for a friday but them up the top dont seem to be getting the money through to those that need it :( contruary to what we hear :(. bugga :(

Barney, I think most people have experiences of cancer, whether they are fortunate enough to survive it, never have it and so on.

My Uncle, Richard served in the RAF since 1972 & went on to fly on the Nimrods (Falklands, Gulf Wars, Piper Alpha disaster, Kipper fleet and so on), in 1985 he was diagnosed with cancer and promptly got treated..received the all clear and was back on duty - he flew with 26 others, 3 crews, 9 per plane. He was no 25 out of 27 to pass away from cancer in 2009 after being given several all clears.

Just after he died, his wife went to the docs with stomach pains, she'd had them for a good few years - it was bladder cancer, she passed away on chrsitmas eve 2011, she had left it too long and it was untreatable.

Not sure what the point of the post I just put was, I guess its to say, from me I know exactly how you feel..I for one would not wish cancer upon anyone, wish a cure was found, yes!

  3. Sok mork i know loads have it , but should people who are unfortunate to have it terminal, be told sorry but we dont have the funding to treat or help you even if we can. ??? I dont always agree with all these TV stands in everyway big companies pushing adverts etc, but where would we be without it some times?? Sorry guys :( .
