Anyone know how to get spray glue off your hands? I put insulation in the roof of my bus today and can't get the damn stuff off. It was a bit tricky when I went for a wee House hold products only guys, I've tried nail varnish remover which moved a bit, but still there. Cheers
I've been using carpet spray adhesive and the only thing that gets that's evil stuff off is white spirit.
No idea Chris. But can you tell me what glue you used please as it sounds quite a good strong one? I'm putting in insulation in the doors and panels in a couple of weeks and not sure what glue to use (for that ThermaWrap stuff or whatever it's called). Alright mate I used evostick impact instant contact adhesive. The insulation I used was B&Q's version of thermawrap and I've used foil tape for the joins, but tbh the glue was that sticky didn't really need the tape.
Thanks for the replies guys, I haven't got any white spirit left so I'll give WD40 a go thanks to Matty and Mrs MH 8)
Brake cleaner is pretty good for getting it off. Leaves your hands really dry so you may want to moisturise afterwards.
i d go with white sprits myself or washing powder or maybe if you can get some truck wash/traffic film remover
if i ever get glue on my hands, its either methylated spirit, white spirit, thinners, or just a good dose of swarfega and live with the mess for a few days. it all comes off in the end.
I'd say WD-40 and then Swarfega, that usually gets rid of most things sticky... However, if you've got a few cuts on your hands be prepared to move and small children from ear shot, it hurts like hell.
