I've been in Munich working this week and was on the lookout for any type of VW Bus but I didnt see a single one except for this... i spotted it out of the corner of my eye at the U-Bahn station and had to wait 5 minutes before it cycled through to get a snapshot of the very fleeting image.
You're unlikely to find many around. As I recall, the regs for "old-timers" can be pretty restrictive and Germans tend to like new things anyway. Some may be banned from city centres under new environmental regs. A German friend of mine expressed amazement that I was restoring an old bus - "why?" was his question. Bit sad, really.
