Split prices!

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by bryandsi, Sep 10, 2016.

  1. I live in Malvern and normally do go down to Busfest. No money to buy stuff this year so haven't bothered. My next door neighbour runs a clothing stall and came back today and showed me a photo of a Split for sale in the Sale field - nothing out of the ordinary from what I could see ........£75k !!!!

I know prices have been mad over the years but that's Ferrari prices!!

    That's just silly. I'd rather have a Ferrari and a Caravan :)

  3. Was told Devon Conversions founder's, who bought it new and left it in a shed, was going for 100k+ Only 500 miles though

The split mentioned in the first post had been fully restored by all accounts.

If that's setting the bar for splitty prices, where will the end?

  16. The only one I've seen here for 75k is a 1950 barndoor, so not exactly a run of the mill bus.

The 1967 SO42 for 55k did seem costly though.

I wouldn't have one of them either, if anything I'd have an Audi RS4 or RS6, I prefer them to Ferrari/Porsche etc etc. Not to say they aren't great cars, they are!
