This is for the "dumb" charger we inherited, so no timing/smart charging, just good owner management :)

The bills will go up of course, but only by a fraction of the diesel bill that it replaces. (1/6th or less)
11p inc VAT per kWh at night.
    25p ditto day rate.
BMW quote 5miles/kWh but so far we're getting more like 10, hence my earlier "smug" 1p/mile.

The immersion/s (two in a heat store of which one is for 1 hour "boost") are 3kw and the flex on from the fused switch was specified as "2.5 mm2 heat resistant for immersions" ... and yes it does EVER so slightly warm up, which is why I've programmed it to run in 20 minute intervals.

    The main fuse is 80a.
If we charged the EV while using the oven and doing the washing and at the same time as an Airbnb guest is having a shower, we'd be over that.
But that's not ever going to happen ... because of timing basically.

The cable should be fine it’s rated at 25amp and 3kw is 13amp it will get warm as it’s attached to a hot tank of water which is why it’s needs to be heat resistant

It might be worth checking connections are good

    Just being "double bubble".
