100% restored and ready to camp. Mabel is a LHD 1972 Tax exempt microbus with a westfalia interior which has just been freshly retrimmed. Underside: All welding has been completed to a very high standard and is 100% complete New Wheel Bearings all round, New Pads, Disks, all flexi and copper brake pipes replaced, new wheel cylinders, load sensor valve, handbrake cables replaced and new rear backing plates. Suspension: Has been professionally lowered by VW Specialist DTH using Creative Engineering adjusters and 2 splines at the rear. Slam Shocks are fitted all round. The look is completed with Fuch replica alloys so she sits and handles sweet. Engine: She has a new reconditioned 1600 TP Vega engine supplied from Just Kampers along with a new empi carb, alternator kit and brand new plugs, coil, leads ect.. She has pertronics electronic ignition fitted too. All engine work carried out by DTH VW specialist Tillicoultry. GearBox: New reconditioned unit supplied by PFP Coachworks and fitted by VW Specialist Coco's Kustoms along with new clutch kit and upgraded polly bushes in the release bearing forks. Clutch cable replaced along with all the gear linkage bushes, rear coupling up graded with an empi polly bush for a nice smooth gear change. Original shifter replaced with a Scat Drag Shifter so there's so theres no play in the gear linkage at all. Interior: The whole bus interior has been stripped back before fitting Silent Coat insulation throught the whole bus. Plywood has been fitted in the rear before black and white tiles were fitted on top. Brand new Door card panel set finished in Brown and cream fluted leather along with front and passenger seat, rock ' n roll bed, buddy seat and rear cushion. Mad Mat carpet and kick pannel set fitted in the cab. Retro sounds period radio with iPod and SD card connectivity fitted. Aux: Along with new vehicle battery I've fitted a 110 aph leisure battery and splitcharge relay which powers a Propex heatsource heater with thermostatic control. Aux Fues box fitted under the buddy seat. I have a 240v hookup which is yet to be fitted but will be included in the sale.
