SOLD : 1973 Westfalia Continental (Pinky)

  1. It is with a heavy heart that I place this advert up.

I will keep using Pinky and go camping over the summer and keep on top of maintenance and try to tidy her up whilst she stays with me.

There are a few little bits of exterior neatening that need to be done and I may get round to doing these before she sells.

Work done from 2005 to 2009 (again with paper work) :
Full re-spray & restoration (2007), new front panel, Clutch & exhaust replacement, Various arch replacements,

    Things to look out for:
There are small rust patches forming in the usual places which will need attention over the next couple of years. Nothing big or costly to repair.

There are a few spots of primer (to touch up scratches) that need to have the touch up paint applied.

The van generally needs a little bit of a tidy up as some areas are looking a bit run down, but with a little bit of money and time it would once again look amazing.
The interior is an original Westfalia Continental with the sink unit removed – this basically got in the way and was a waste of space for my needs but you could pick one up if you wanted to replace it again.

Good luck with the sale Dan. Sorry you've decided to sell in the end.

But if you are intent on selling you may want to consider advertising elsewhere and soon as the market starts to get busy now.

  14. Tis v. sad your selling a builders van just lacks the character of a bay, but good luck on the sale and the search for a T4

  15. sorry to see youre selling her matey! good luck with the sale and honestly priced too

  16. Outstanding bus

  17. Thanks all .... It is not an easy decision - but the right one for now ... and my heart will always be with late bays.
But for the next few years - that is just not practical for a number of reasons.

I will start doing a few other adverts over the next few weeks - I am not in a rush to sell as I don't want to be vanless.
It very much feels like selling a house rather than just a van ....

Not supposed to be practical. Who told you that? You'll have to post on JK now

  19. Anyway . . . . . this is supposed to a thread for Dan to sell his van.

This is a much loved bus by many members of TLB community. It has also featured in artwork sold throughout the country. Please offer it a good home!
