My nephew from Australia is coming to stay for a couple of weeks from Monday. As we're out of bedrooms he's sleeping in the van. So by using the one remaining gear, gravity and manual labour we've got to get it in the garden. Then I can give it a wash and a hoover ready for a 21 year old Queenslander to inhabit. He can give me a hand painting the roof and putting a on new seal in lieu of rent.
Looks like I'll be trying to work out why my sliding door won't lock anymore. Can't lock it from inside either.
I am setting out the light oak floor in Gladys and facing her shapely seating in walnut and hopfully setting out a custom overhead locker - if all goes well
It's Jenny's birthday Monday so taking her somewhere a bit more luxurious than Malcolm's to celebrate
Hoping it stays dry as I need to crawl under the 412 and replace fuel lines and a split balljoint rubber ready for its MoT on Tuesday...fingers crossed it will sail through again As well as that I've got to finish the interior of the van, but as that's only trying to make seat covers for the rear row of seats that's not dependant on the weather. I was also hoping to get it painted but I don't think the weather is going to let me do that job. Fingers crossed though we dodge the forecasted rain and put up the awning we bought via ebay to see if it is as good as the seller described, although we've been pretty fortunate on that front so far....
Our plans for going away were scuppered at the last minute Ms.T's offsider has come down with a broken leg, after going skateboarding with his son ( showing the young 'un how to do it properly) & is now a patient in his own hospital, until he can get a transfer to a private facility. I was going to go solo but thought better of it, discretion being the better part of valour.
I'm cooking the Good Friday meal Its fish with peas and new potatoes with my homemade seeded buns and new ones made with Guinness and all washed down with this lot
