As I get older I find getting in and out of bivvies a bit of a struggle, the Titan looks good but I’m not paying over £700 for a bivvy, the Fox evo has good reviews so I’m thinking either that or the trakker, I prefer a brolly style shelter because I like to stay mobile and move where the fish are, Ive even been known to move in the middle of the night

I must admit in a certain light they do look a bit crocy, but the man in the bivvy shoe shop assured me they were bivvy shoes:thumbsup:

  11. Maybe take a look at the Titan hide xl if you want a higher door.

Be careful of tempest v2 bivvys. If you get one go over it straight away as the stitching round the doors is shocking on some and leaks when it’s put under tension if the doors done up.

Maybe look at the esp hideout if you want a light weight brolly type.

The Tempest v2 brollys are ok. Might be a little low. Avoid the new tempest brolly advanced if you don’t like low shelters.

I’d definitely say look at the new solar bivvy if you decide to go pramhood style over brolly style. Very similar to the aqua compact m3 but with out aquas outrageous carp tax.

I’ve just had a look at the ESP hideout it looks the business cheers for that, I prefer a brolly style bivvy as opposed to a pramhood as I said earlier I like to stay mobile and I find them easier, I agree the Aqua stuff is good but their prices are ridiculously high
My mate has the Tempest V1 with a skull cap and swears by them but I don’t like the sound of the leaky door( are they made by Empi), it’s early days as I’ve only just broken my bivvy ,I’m certainly not going to rush into buying a new one until I’ve seen all the options, in the mean time I’ve got my old faithful Nash oval

This is my wychwood Mhr 60” I’ve a overwrap and storm poles for when it’s really bad and it’s stood up to some rough weather no problem.

The only issue I found is it’s not very deep if you have a big bed
